Sourcing the premium layers

The base map (satellite, topography, terrain) and OFS listings are live and free. Here's exactly where the premium layers come from, what they cost, and how we wire each — the data that makes the OFS+ subscription worth paying for.

Licensing read

Open & usable now: OpenTopoMap, Copernicus/SRTM DEM, HDX/GADM boundaries, OSM features, our own listings/price data — all free, commercial-friendly with attribution.
Government open (data.go.th / DGA license): public-land cadastre WMS, much DPT zoning, GISTDA flood — generally reusable with attribution; confirm per dataset and keep attributions.
Restricted / agreement needed: full DOL private-parcel cadastre + appraisal values (privacy-controlled) — pursue a formal DOL data agreement; this is the crown jewel.
Commercial license: Ookla/nPerf broadband coverage (their open data is non-commercial), Fathom/JBA flood — pay-to-license for the paid product.
Closed / partnership: telco fiber footprints (AIS/True/3BB/TOT) and PEA/PWA utility networks — require MOUs.

Recommended phasing

Phase 1 — free, now: add boundaries (HDX), OSM power/water, our price/sqm heatmap, and the public-land WMS. Real layers at $0, instantly upgrading the map.
Phase 2 — government data: wire GISTDA flood WMS + DPT zoning WMS (start Phuket/Samui/Bangkok). Confirm DGA licenses.
Phase 3 — the moat: negotiate the DOL LandsMaps data agreement (parcels + appraisal values). This is the defensible, "worth-paying-for" core.
Phase 4 — commercial: license Ookla/nPerf (broadband) and Fathom (flood risk scoring); pursue telco + PEA/PWA partnerships for true utility/fiber footprints.

Bottom line: we can ship several real premium layers for $0 (boundaries, topography/DEM, OSM utilities, our price heatmap, public-land parcels) — enough to justify OFS+ today. The crown jewel is a DOL LandsMaps agreement for full parcels + government appraisal values; the commercial spend (Ookla, Fathom) comes once subscribers are paying. Net: a credible premium product now, a deep moat as we license up.
