Sourcing the premium layers

The base map (satellite, topography, terrain) and OFS listings are live and free. Here's exactly where the premium layers come from, what they cost, and how we wire each — the data that makes the OFS+ subscription worth paying for.

Parcels & boundaries
(cadastral)
DOL LandsMaps (dolwms.dol.go.th/tvwebp; landsmaps.dol.go.th) — 34M+ plots, 14 fields incl. appraisal price & land-use WMS (connects to QGIS/ArcGIS) + per-parcel viewer. Public-land parcels (น.ส.ล., 77 provinces) as open WMS on data.go.th Gov't. Public-land WMS open (DGA license). Full private cadastre = restricted (privacy) — needs DOL agreement for reuse Display now L.tileLayer.wms for the public WMS; pursue a DOL data agreement for full parcels + appraisal values (the killer field)
Zoning & land use DPT comprehensive city plans (ผังเมืองรวม, dpt.go.th) per province; NGIS WMS services Mix of WMS (NGIS, since 2011), GIS downloads, and PDF plans per province on data.go.th Gov't open (DGA) for most; assemble province-by-province Medium Wire available WMS provinces; digitize PDF-only plans to GeoJSON for the rest. Start with Phuket/Samui/Bangkok
Topography
(contours/relief)
OpenTopoMap (live) + Copernicus DEM 30m / NASA SRTM for elevation & hillshade Raster tiles (live) + open DEM (GeoTIFF) for custom contours/slope OpenTopoMap CC-BY-SA; Copernicus/SRTM open & free Live now Already on the map. Add slope/elevation analysis from DEM as a premium twist
Admin boundaries
(province/district/tambon)
HDX (cod-ab-tha, RTSD/ITOS) + GADM Shapefile / GeoJSON download Open (HDX/CC) — free Free now Drop in as a GeoJSON overlay; useful context + search-by-area
Flood & hazard risk GISTDA flood monitoring (flood.gistda.or.th, satellite-derived) + HII/thaiwater WMS / map services; some open layers Gov't (GISTDA) — open-ish; confirm reuse terms. Commercial alt: Fathom/JBA flood (licensed) Medium Wire GISTDA flood-extent WMS; license Fathom for forward-looking risk scoring if buyers want it
Fiber & cable / broadband Ookla Open Data (speed tiles, GitHub) as coverage proxy; NBTC broadband data; telco (AIS/True/3BB/TOT) = closed Ookla = Parquet/GeoJSON tiles; telco coverage = no open feed Ookla open = CC-BY-NC-SA (non-commercial) → need Ookla/nPerf commercial license for paid product License Show Ookla-derived "broadband strength" tiles; license Ookla/nPerf commercially, or partner with a telco for true fiber footprint
Utilities
(power/water)
PEA/MEA (electricity), PWA (water) — not openly published; OSM power lines/substations (partial) OSM = open (ODbL); authority GIS = data request/partnership OSM free; authority data closed — needs MOU/partnership Partner Wire OSM power/water features now (partial); pursue PEA/PWA data partnerships for real coverage
Appraisal / price data DOL government appraisal values (in LandsMaps) + our own asking-price dataset (1,250+ listings) DOL per-parcel; ours = live API DOL gov't appraisal public; ours = owned Now (ours) Overlay our price/sqm heatmap immediately; add DOL appraisal via the LandsMaps agreement

Recommended phasing

Bottom line: we can ship several real premium layers for $0 (boundaries, topography/DEM, OSM utilities, our price heatmap, public-land parcels) — enough to justify OFS+ today. The crown jewel is a DOL LandsMaps agreement for full parcels + government appraisal values; the commercial spend (Ookla, Fathom) comes once subscribers are paying. Net: a credible premium product now, a deep moat as we license up.

Real data, real moat.

Free layers ship today; the licensed crown jewels compound the value.
